Keith Jarrett Trio - Bye bye blackbird (1993)
MP3 CBR 320 kbps 44100 Stereo | 159 MB
Jazz | Artwork
When Miles Davis died in 1991, three of his former sidemen – Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette - headed to New York’s Power Station studio to play some music in his memory. These included pieces associate with Davis plus the celebratory improvisation “For Miles”.
This 1991 recording by Keith Jarrett's so-called Standards Trio was recorded less than two weeks after the death of Miles Davis, who's pictured in silhouette on the cover photograph. The choice of material reflects that of Davis, the man to whom this music was recorded in tribute.
