Other chapters include Climate and Weather, Travel, finding or building Shelter, Clothing, Health, Survival at Sea, Poisonous Snakes, signaling for help, what to do if you are lost, and much more ...
An extremely useful book for the camper to keep in their supplies. One very nice treat... the version sold here differs from the real surplus military version in that it offers color photos of the plants (original military version was black and white), and it is very comprehensive. While there are books available on edible and poisonous plants that are more specialized, the material here is very adequate for inclusion in this manual. All in all, one of the best books on the survival subject, well rounded and very detailed. I have a library of books on camping and camping emergencies. While one reviewer thought this book had too much info and wanted a simpler book, I would say that if you had it with you in an emergency you would be glad of its many topics. You may even want to keep a copy in the trunk of your car with your roadside tools, since you never know when you might need some help making a fire or finding water.

At approximately 5:12 a.m. on April 18, 1906, a powerful earthquake ripped through the city of San Francisco. Roadways rose and fell like ocean waves. Crumbling walls and chimneys rained glass and bricks onto sidewalks and streets, and crowded rooming houses suddenly vanished into heaps of splintered wood. Yet San Francisco's ordeal had only begun. The violent trembling of the ground had hardly stilled when dozens of fires sparked by damaged chimneys and severed gas lines ignited throughout the stricken city. By April 21st, the fires were finally brought under control, but the city had lost nearly 30,000 buildings to the earthquake and ensuing blazes, half of its population was homeless, and some 3,000 were dead. Until Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast in 2005, the San Francisco calamity of 1906 was the worst natural disaster in U.S. history.

It is an emulation of the classic professional parametric vacuum tube equalizer from 50's and 60's. We programmed the Pultronic EQ-110P equalizer in the way that it can add real and hearable warm, color and dynamics of the vacuum tube devices into your music. Many frequency and amplitude analysis of input and output impulses from real vintage vacuum tubes were used during the development. These impulses were recorded via the real vintage devices which allowed us to achieve the excellent and realistic results. Thanks to this process you can choose from several algorithms which emulate the various vacuum tubes in order to achieve the wide spectrum of the music colors. We put our rich experience with analog electronic devices into the development of this product so the virtual schema of the Pultronic is very similar to the real circuits of the electronic equalizers.

The equalizer contains 4 parametric filters: Low frequency cut, Low frequency boost, Middle frequency cut / boost, High frequency boost
These equalizing circuits allow you to "sweet" color of the sound as well as softly saturate it and emphasize the bass and treble frequencies. The parameters
like Warmth, Saturation and Brilliance can be used to adjust the characteristics of the output amplifying vacuum tubes.

The Pultronic equalizer EQ-110P is suitable for recording, tracking and mixing.
