Ali, Kwita, Omar et Boubker sont des enfants des rues. Depuis qu'ils ont quitté Dib et sa bande, ils habitent sur le port. Ali veut devenir marin et faire le tour du monde. Une amitié indéfectible lie ces quatre enfants. Mais très vite, lors d'un affrontement avec la bande de Dib, Ali est tué.
